Southern California man forged court docs to try to abduct daughter

An Oxnard man was convicted Thursday of trying to abduct his daughter using forged court documents.

Jose Santos Villalobos, 34, was convicted by a jury of felony attempted child abduction, forgery, filing false or forged documents, and misdemeanor disobeying a domestic relations court order, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

The court also found true the aggravating factor that the crime involved planning, sophistication or professionalism.
