A foggy Friday night ahead of weekend cold front

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Friday night brings mild conditions and developing fog. However, big changes are ahead with a cold front.

Friday Night: Mild and Foggy 🌫️

Friday night will be mild with temperatures dropping into the low-60s. Expect foggy conditions to develop through the evening hours. If you’re heading out after dark, use caution on the roadways as fog could reduce visibility.

Saturday: Showers and Maybe a Storm 🌦️

Saturday is when things change. The first half of the day is looking mostly dry and warm. Highs climb into the upper-70s and low-80s under a mix of Sun and clouds.

Spotty showers and a couple of thunderstorms are possible, especially for the second half of the day. A Level 1 Marginal risk of severe weather is in place for areas near the Apalachicola River.

The threat is very low, but a couple of storms could produce gusty winds. The good news is that storms will be weakening as they move through our area compared to locations farther west. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light, generally less than half an inch.

Sunday: Much Colder and Drier 🌡️

Behind the cold front, much cooler and drier conditions will settle in Sunday…
