CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Court was back in session Friday for the trial of former Uvalde school police officer Adrian Gonzalez. The first full week in court comprised going over forensic evidence, eyewitness accounts and a testimony that put the trial on a day-long pause.

On Thursday, the defense had an opportunity to re-cross examine the former teacher Stephanie Hall, who gave new insight during her witness testimony on Tuesday morning, which included details she had not mentioned to the Texas Rangers during her initial interview. Gonzalez’s attorney later moved for a mistrial, claiming they were unaware of those details.
