Four men arrested, accused in human trafficking investigation: NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department, in collaboration with other local and federal agencies, arrested four people in connection with a human trafficking investigation on Jan. 8.

In the investigation dating back to August 2025, detectives uncovered that the suspects were allegedly operating a human trafficking ring involving multiple juveniles and women victims based out of a New Orleans location in the Seventh District.

The NOPD’s Special Victims Section, alongside the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, FBI and Homeland Security Investigations, worked to gather information and get leads to arrest the suspects.

Detectives arrested the following individuals:

  • 32-year-old Leroy Allen, charged with one count of human trafficking, three counts of first-degree rape and one count of aggravated assault with a firearm
  • 45-year-old Commoder Allen, charged with one count of human trafficking and additional charges in East Baton Rouge Parish
  • 28-year-old Lawrence Allen, charged with two counts of human trafficking
  • 36-year-old Montrell Porter, charged with one count of human trafficking and three counts of first-degree rape

When a search of the location was conducted, detectives seized three handguns, two shotguns, five rifles, assorted ammunition, various communication devices and documents. They said they believed these items were “related to the trafficking operation.”…
