EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 51-year-old man was arrested after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, as his truck was missing a tire, and he failed to stop and continued to drive while he was allegedly drunk earlier this week in Canutillo.
Shortly after 1:20 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a pickup truck that was being driven with a missing tire and traveling on its rim, causing visible sparks on the roadway.
The driver, later identified as 51-year-old Jorge Aguirre, failed to yield to the deputies’ emergency lights and sirens and continued driving before eventually stopping in the 600 block of Westway Boulevard, according to EPCSO.
A felony stop was conducted, and Aguirre was taken into custody without incident…
