LPSS approves superintendent’s new $300,000 salary

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Lafayette Parish Superintendent Francis Touchet is getting a three-year contract extension and a big pay raise.

The school board voted unanimously tonight to raise his salary to a minimum of $300,000. That’s a more than $50,000 raise.

According to a 2023, 2024, audit, Touchet made $246,660 with a student enrollment of 29,441. School board members justified the move at the school board meeting…
