This week The Capital Times publisher Paul Fanlund wrote “A New Year’s Appeal to Madison’s ruling ‘uniparty,’” which received a sharp rebuke from our city’s netheads on the left. It’s time to start the discussion with the profound reality that many who claim to be progressive are not.
True, they adhere to some of the basic tenets of the left, expressing commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion. They claim to be environmentalists, they oppose the political power of corporate America and express support for empowering people.
