LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas Secretary of State said over 1,000 duplicate voter registrations were found during an investigation.
Officials said Secretary Cole Jester’s One State One Vote initiative identified the duplicates through data-sharing partnerships. The analysis included voter records in Tennessee and Alabama, resulting in 1,267 individuals registered to vote in both Arkansas and one of the two states.

The announcement did not state if any duplicate votes were found, only voter registrations. A spokesperson said the secretary will work with officials in the other states to ensure inaccurate registrations are removed.
