Lubbock, Texas – A round of wintry weather is moving back into the South Plains this morning, bringing a mix of snow showers, cold rain, and occasional wintry precipitation through the late afternoon. While impacts are expected to be limited, drivers across parts of West Texas could encounter slick spots, especially during heavier bursts.

According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, precipitation will spread across the region this morning and continue on and off through the afternoon. The best chance for a light dusting of snow will be across northwestern counties of the South Plains and southern Texas Panhandle, including areas near Friona, Muleshoe, and Plainview.
