A man died and another was seriously injured as a result of a three-car crash in Illinois, according to officials.The red Ford Fusion driver, later identified by the Romeoville Police Department as 20-year-old Johnathan Wenzel, crashed through a sound barrier off Interstate 55 in Romeoville at 4:32 a.m. local time on Thursday, Jan. 8, officers said in a statement.
Wenzel, who was traveling west, came to a stop on the northbound side of the interstate, when two cars were unable to avoid him and crashed into his car.
An occupant in one of the other vehicles — identified only as the driver by FOX affiliate WFLD — was taken to the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital before being airlifted to University of Chicago Medicine Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.Wenzel was pronounced dead at the scene…
