South City Catholic Academy to close

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The Archdiocese of St. Louis announced on Friday that South City Catholic Academy will close at the end of the school year.

In a statement, Archbishop Rev. Mitchell T. Rozanski wrote:

“For the past nine years, South City Catholic Academy has been providing Catholic education in the City of St. Louis, as a partnership school between St. Lucy Parish (formerly St. Joan of Arc, St. Mary Magdalen, and Our Lady of Sorrows) and the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Over the past year, however, the school has faced significant challenges due to rising costs.
