Man accused of killing two Kansas mothers asks for trial delay

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — One of the men accused of killing two southwest Kansas mothers is asking for his trial to be delayed.

Tad Cullum’s attorneys filed a motion for a continuation on Thursday. They said they are trying to protect Cullum’s rights to due process and a fair trial.

His attorneys argue that because the state is seeking the death penalty, the case requires a “greater degree of accuracy,” according to court documents.
