Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza will take on the Oregon Ducks and Dante Moore in Friday’s Peach Bowl. The winner will advance to the College Football Playoff title game. Both programs are vying for their first national championship in football.
The Heisman winner has been the story of the season. Mendoza completed 240 of 332 passes for 3,172 yards and threw a nation-leading 36 touchdown passes while guiding the Hoosiers to a 14–0 record and a Rose Bowl win against the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was awarded several other national honors this season.
Since the ceremony, Mendoza has been under constant media attention. He accepted the Heisman in New York with family and team representatives in attendance, but no signs of a significant other.
