Names of 2 men electrocuted after cherry picker hit powerlines, coroner reports

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men who were electrocuted Tuesday evening after their equipment came in contact with power lines.

Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal identified Rolando Luis Mucu, 34, and Jose Tec Chub, 26, who died Jan. 6 around 6:38 p.m., from injuries sustained from an electrical shock and fire.

O’Neal’s report states that both men were contracted workers from New Jersey, installing gutters in a cherry picker basket when the lift basket touched an active power line…
