Man steals $1,700 worth of caviar from Orange County grocery store

Police are searching for a man who stole around $1,700 worth of caviar from a Whole Foods market in Irvine.

Irvine police said the man entered the grocery store and, to avoid suspicion, pretended to browse alongside other customers. He grabbed a basket and placed several items inside.

On Jan. 8, police provided surveillance video showing the male suspect dressed in all black and casually walking around store aisles.

He eventually took about $1,700 worth of caviar and placed it inside a paper Whole Foods bag that he had brought with him to the market…
