INDIANAPOLIS – According to IMPD, targeted traffic enforcement in one neighborhood this week yielded “disheartening” results, with some drivers reaching speeds over double the posted limit.
The posted speed limit on Delaware Street near the intersection of E 20th Street is 35 mph, but neighbors and police alike say it’s one spot in the city where to many dangerous drivers, that’s nothing but a number.
In just 30 minutes of focused enforcement, one officer reportedly stopped three cars speeding 20 mph or more over the limit, including one going 72 mph, during a time of day when kids were walking home from school…
