KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Plans to build a state-of-the-art, $40 million youth sports complex in Kalamazoo County are on hold for now.
The City of Kalamazoo Zoning Board of Appeals heard plans from the developer during their Thursday night meeting, who asked for variances into protected slopes and woodlands in order to build the facility and parking lot.
The property is a 20-acre site, located within the Westwood area of Kalamazoo adjacent to US-131.
