Man sentenced to federal prison after firing shots outside Nissan Stadium in 2023

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Nashville man is set to spend 10 years in federal prison for multiple weapons charges following a 2023 shooting incident that turned into a high-speed chase around Middle Tennessee.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 36-year-old Bryan Odell Hunter pleaded guilty to possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a machinegun before he was sentenced for those charges on Thursday, Jan. 8.

“Holding dangerous offenders like Hunter accountable for their actions is a high priority of our office,” said U.S. Attorney Braden H. Boucek for the Middle District of Tennessee. “We will continue to seek stiff sentences for felons who use guns and put both citizens and our law enforcement community at risk with their dangerous actions.”…
