Brooklyn Woman Arrested for Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest

A Brooklyn woman was arrested for allegedly stealing items from a store in Inwood and resisting arrest.

On January 8 at 4:25 p.m., Nassau County police officers from the Fourth Squad responded to a call of a larceny in progress at Bingo Wholesale located at 603 Burnside Avenue. Upon arrival, Tara Prentice, 38, of 142 Jamaica Avenue, allegedly attempted to leave the store with merchandise she did not pay for. When she was approached by an employee, she allegedly became combative and swung a wooden object towards them. She allegedly remained combative and resisted arrest when officers attempted to place her into custody. She was then arrested without any further incident…
