New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani have announced a new initiative that will provide free child care for all two-year-olds in New York City, positioning the city for a major expansion of early childhood support over the next several years.
Unveiled at an event in Brooklyn, the “2-Care” program is designed as a phased rollout beginning this fall.
