Dzadovsky outraises Galinis in Jan. 13 Fort Pierce commissioner race

FORT PIERCE — The latest campaign finance reports for the two candidates running Jan.13 for a Fort Pierce City Commission seat show nearly $100,000 has been contributed overall, with Chris Dzadovsky currently having a 20 percent lead in his campaign coffer over Jaimebeth Galinis.

But while campaign finance reports show 85 percent of Galinis’ contributors since the primary have Fort Pierce addresses, only 19 percent of Dzadovsky’s campaign donations come from city residents and businesses.

Records show Dzadovsky, a former Democrat St. Lucie County commissioner, outraised Galinis, a political newcomer who identifies as a Republican, by more than 2-to-1 in the weeks since the two advanced from a Nov. 4 primary election for the seat left vacant by the resignation of former city commissioner James Taylor III…
