RICHMOND, Va. — Dishes piled to the ceiling, body odor from not showering, brushing your teeth with sparkling water rather than tap water. If you lived in Richmond in January 2025, you may have suffered these symptoms of the water crisis. Although the time period was turbulent for many, others saw opportunity.
Hassan Fields, @itslunchspecial on Instagram, took to social media to poke fun at Mayor Danny Avula’s daily press conferences. He took on the role by dressing the part, wearing a puffer vest, similar to that of Avula. His comedic bits also focused on addressing a gaggle of reporters.
During an interview, 8News Anchor Deanna Allbrittin asked Fields if he has ever been mistaken for Avula.
