GUYTON, Ga. (WTOC) – Theodore Hamby, the Guyton City Council member previously indicted on fraud charges, has officially resigned his position.
Until recently, Hamby’s position on the Guyton City Council was classified as “suspended” after an executive order from Governor Brian Kemp.
In Hamby’s resignation letter, which WTOC has obtained and is available to view below, Hamby says “I have never been a quitter” and “to leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in me” but “the interest of our city must come first.”…
