LUBBOCK, Texas — A Technical Working Group meeting was held by TxDOT for the Lubbock District to start developing a Bike Plan, with city leaders and other organizations were in attendance. These bike plans were something TxDOT was doing statewide.
Elizabeth Jones, TxDOT bicycle and pedestrian planner, gave an update on how far along the state was in this effort.
“Right now, we have four districts that have done bicycle plans already, and we have eight that are currently doing bicycle plans, and we’re kind of right in the middle of doing those plans right now. So, Lubbock is one of those eight districts,” Jones said.
