LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) have released their metrics for the week of Friday, January 2, through Thursday, January 8.

LAS reported a total number of 901 phone calls to begin the year, with 758 calls going to the front desk and 143 calls going to their field services line. LAS responded to 42 total aggressive animal calls and 29 animal welfare calls. LAS reported 86 total adoptions, with 71 dogs and 15 cats being taken home, leaving the current dog population sitting at 216.
