Plano men sentenced for methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy

PLANO, Texas — Two men from Plano have received lengthy federal prison sentences for their involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy, according to U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs.

Brandon Michael Pitts, a 30-year-old, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to manufacture and distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to 216 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Sean D. Jordan on January 7, 2026. Matthew Craig McCutchen, also a 30-year-old, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine and received a 162-month federal prison sentence from Judge Jordan on the same day.

The court heard that Pitts and McCutchen were part of a drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing over 500 grams of methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Texas.
