Earlier this week, around 2am, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an alarm call at First Methodist Church after a caller reported someone inside the building.
When SPD pulled up to the scene, Officers deployed K-9 Monza and his handler to assist with clearing the Church. During the search, SPD found personal belongings beneath an opened window on the south side of the building, as a possible point of entry. The caller confirmed the man was still inside the building.
K-9 Officers gave three verbal warnings telling the suspect to get out of building. When no response was received, the K-9 team went in through the window to search the whole building. The suspect was located hiding inside a women’s restroom and was arrested without incident…
