WASKOM, Texas (KETK) — Investigators have discovered the fire that killed two boys in Waskom on Dec. 30 was sparked when a heat lamp fell over on the front porch of the family’s home.
According to Harrison County Fire Marshal, James (Jamie) McConnell, the heat lamp was used to keep the family’s animals warm. The residence’s front yard was fenced to allow their dog and sheep to roam freely.
