Wichita teenager pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter in 2025 shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Wichita teenager has pleaded guilty to the shooting death of a 24-year-old man last year.

Jaden Watts, 19, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dermarc Burgess. Under the plea deal, that charge was amended to one amended count voluntary manslaughter.
