AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Amarillo Police are warning property owners to stay alert following an increase in reports of squatters occupying vacant homes and abandoned businesses across the city.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, many of the individuals involved are not homeless residents seeking shelter, but rather thieves targeting empty properties.
