In June of 2023, severe flooding damaged the play fountain (splash pad) in front of City Hall. The City of Fountain later received a grant from FEMA to replace the structure. However, if another splash pad were to be built, updated health codes would have also required the addition of chemical and UV filtration tanks, fencing, and nearby restrooms or a bath house.
