ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are investigating two overnight fatal crashes. One was Friday night, and the other occurred around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police say officers witnessed a two-vehicle crash around 9:42 p.m. Friday at Central Ave. and Juan Tabo Blvd. NE. They say a man driving one of the vehicles died on the scene.

According to APD, a black 2023 Ram pick-up was stopped at a light in the westbound left lane of Central. While stopped, a white 2013 Ford truck was driving east in the westbound lanes of Central, went through the intersection, and crashed head-on into the Ram. The driver of the Ford was not wearing a seatbelt and died on the scene from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
Around 3:00 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the southbound I-25 off-ramp to San Mateo Blvd. The female driver died on scene. APD says a gray 2016 Mercedes GLC 300 was exiting the off-ramp at a rate too fast for the turn. The car drove off the roadway and landed in the open area north of the off-ramp.
