Hundreds gather in Kingston in vigil and protest over Renee Good killing by ICE

Hundreds of people gathered in Midtown Kingston on Thursday evening, January 8, for a candlelight vigil and protest in Post Office Park after the ICE shooting death of Renee Good during a federal operation in south Minneapolis the day before. Attendees filled the park and nearby sidewalks around Broadway and Prince Street, holding candles and signs and calling for accountability and changes to federal immigration enforcement. Turnout was estimated to be between 300-500 people, including area activists and elected officials like Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha and Kingston Common Council Majority Leader Michele Hirsch.
