56-Year-Old Man Charged With Aggravated Assault and Drug Possession After Northeast D.C. Attack

Following a reported incident of aggravated assault in Northeast D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a 56-year-old suspect, according to an official release from the department. The victim, who has not been named, was allegedly attacked by multiple individuals during the afternoon of January 3 in the 6200 block of Dix Street. The attack involved one suspect, since identified as Domminick Altamura Jr., who rapidly kicked the victim. Concurrently, another person allowed their dog to bite the victim, and a third party joined in the assault before all suspects fled the area.

On Wednesday, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department, Altamura was placed under arrest facing charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
