BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin has announced a new initiative focused on transportation in Birmingham.
“Transportation in Birmingham is more than just getting from point A to point B – its about opening doors to opportunity for everyone in our city, regardless of race, age, income or ability,” wrote the city of Birmingham. “Access to safe and reliable transportation connects our homes with places of employment education, recreation, healthcare and more.”
The initiative is named GoBHM and the city says it is focused on developing a community-driven multimodal transportation plan over the next 10 months, working with residents to identify the transportation experience that is wanted in Birmingham…
