Norfolk man needed sudden brain surgery after seizure on NYE

NORFOLK, Va. — Family and friends are rallying around a Norfolk man after he needed emergency brain surgery to remove a tumor on New Year’s Day.

Chayse Manugo planned to celebrate the new year at a party with friends, but instead, he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a seizure. Lifelong friend Jefferson Bartels was waiting for Manugo to pick him up for the party, but started to worry when he didn’t show.
