Rome, Georgia – Heavy rain sweeping across northwest Georgia could trigger flash flooding through Saturday evening, with 2 to 4 inches of rainfall expected and isolated spots seeing even higher totals.
According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, a Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday for portions of north and western Georgia, including Rome, Dalton, Newnan, and areas west of Atlanta.
