GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) – Gibson County Sheriff’s Office officials are warning citizens of a new scam involving fake United States District Court arrest warrants.
According to a release, the fake arrest warrants claim to be issued for failing to appear as a witness or for jury duty and use official looking United States District Courts forms, indicating they were issued by the United States District Court.
Officials say neither the court, nor any other law enforcement agency, would ever email or call someone to request the payment of a fine for failure to appear for jury duty…
