Homestead grad Amelia White preparing for pro career in NWSL

STATE COLLEGE, Penn. (WANE) – From Fort Wayne legend DaMarcus Beasley, to former NWSL player Sara (Killion) Woldmoe, few soccer players have emerged from the Summit City to play on the world’s stage.

Homestead grad Amelia White is part of that elite company. The Fort Wayne native recently signed her first professional contract with the Kansas City Current in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

To even think about practicing on a day to day basis with these these players, is kind of crazy to think about,” White said. “I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to be able to train and develop with them.”…
