GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Alachua County Commission will conduct its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026. The meeting is in the Jack Durrance Auditorium on the second floor of the Alachua County Administration Building (12 SE 1st St., Gainesville). The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. The evening portion of the meeting is canceled.
The agenda items include:
- Presentation of a proclamation recognizing January 17, 2026 as Arbor Day in Alachua County, Florida
- Employee Length of Service 4th Quarter Recognition 2025
- Public Hearing to adopt an ordinance to amend Chapter 22 of the Alachua County Code of Ordinances, known as the “Alachua County Procurement Code”
- A request to rezone 5.87 acres from R-1b (4-8 units/acre) to R-1a district (1-4 units/acre) adjacent to Greentree Village and Celebration Oaks Phase 1
