Following a three-day jury trial, the Pensacola man accused of killing Kayla Atwood and burying her body was found guilty of murder Jan. 8.
An Escambia County jury convicted 36-year-old Mikhail Fountain of second-degree murder for killing Atwood on Jan. 3, 2024, and burying her body in a shallow grave near Fairfield Drive and Crow Road.
