A Florida man is facing charges for allegedly fatally shooting a stranger who was in his yard gardening on Wednesday, authorities said.
The Ocala Police Department said that at around 3:34 p.m. Wednesday, a 911 caller reported that he was pulling out of his driveway when a suspicious man dressed in all black motioned for him to stop. The caller did not stop, but as he continued driving, he saw the man “appear to rack the slide of what he believed to be a pistol,” police said.
While officers were en route to the location on the 900 block of SE 3rd Street, a second 911 call reported shots fired a block away from the first location. The first officer to arrive on scene spotted a man matching the first caller’s description walking two blocks away on SE 11th Avenue…
