ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County is offering several opportunities for volunteers to help plant trees around the county.
Home-built helicopter crashes in Mobile County — pilot injured
An Escambia County release said the county is working with the Canopy Council and Canopy Restoration Project to plant trees around the area, and volunteers are needed on Friday, Jan. 16, Saturday, Jan. 17, and Saturday, Jan. 24.
On Friday, Jan. 16, volunteers will meet at the Escambia County Central Office Complex, 3363 West Park Place, to help move trees and mulch. Anyone wanting to help should wear comfortable clothes and bring their own gloves and water. Volunteer times are available between 9 a.m. and noon and noon to 3 p.m. Volunteers can sign up here…
