RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A powered paraglider made an unexpected splash landing in the ocean off Singer Island Friday morning, drawing attention from beachgoers and first responders.
Officers with the Riviera Beach Police Department say a 52-year-old man from Pompano Beach was flying the powered paraglider just before noon when it dropped out of the sky and landed in the water. The man was not injured.
