JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Today: Our First Alert Weather Day continues as more storms are expected this afternoon. Another round will start mid-afternoon becoming more widespread by the evening commute. All modes of severe weather remain possible, including tornadoes, so make sure you know where your tornado safe place is located and have alerts turned on if any warnings are issued. Damaging winds remain the greatest threat. The system becomes a little more “messy” with more showers and storms lingering into Friday night; however models indicate that the severe threat will be limited going into the overnight hours. The main line of storms will move in early Saturday morning. We should be done with these storms by daybreak Saturday.
Saturday: We start off a bit stormy Saturday morning, but showers will clear out by lunchtime. Cooler air moves in behind the front as temperatures begin to drop. Highs will be earlier on in the day in the low 60s and continue dropping to the 30s by Saturday night…
