Monona police search for Madison man after high-speed chase

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Monona Police Department is searching for a person of interest after he led them on a car chase on Saturday morning.

Monona police identified Shondrell Evans, 28, as a person of interest after the incident happened just before 1:45 a.m. when an unmarked MOPD squad noticed a vehicle speeding 100 miles per hour with its lights off. The MOPD officer in the squad was a good distance from vehicle and caught up with the suspect to stop the vehicle.

Evans exited the highway and went northbound along US Highway 51. The MOPD officer called for backup to coordinate tire delfation to stop the suspect. Evans avoided tire deflations put down by a Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputy near Hwy 51 and Buckeye Road…
