The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on Friday that it is suspending “federal financial awards” to Minnesota and Minneapolis amid a massive fraud investigation in the state.
USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins wrote in a social media post on XF that “Enough is enough!,” citing prosecutors’ estimate that “billions” of federal dollars were lost in fraud schemes.
“Today, @USDA is SUSPENDING FEDERAL FINANCIAL AWARDS to Minnesota and Minneapolis, effective immediately, until sufficient proof has been provided that the fraud has stopped,” Rollins posted. “No more handouts to thieves! Time to drain the Minnesota swamp and put American taxpayers first.”…
