SAPD: Woman killed by train while walking railroad track on West Side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating after a woman was killed by a train on the West Side.

Investigators say the woman was found unresponsive near the intersection of South Brazos Street and Saltillo Street around 2 p.m. Friday. The woman was walking along the tracks when she was hit by the train.

According to SAPD, the conductor of the train saw the woman walking near the tracks from a distance, and he sounded the alarm from about a half-mile away, but the woman did not get out of the way…
