PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Another storm system remaining just west of Oregon, helping to increase the sneaker way threat this weekend along the coast.
Keeping a safe distance from the coast is a must this weekend and into Monday as the threat of sneaker waves grows along the Oregon Coast. The Portland National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement that lasts through Monday, January 12, 2026.
