ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — As the investigation into the ICE-involved shooting that happened in Glen Burnie on Christmas Eve continues, Anne Arundel County police recently released new information, which contradicts information ICE officials previously provided.
Following the shooting, which happened on Dec. 24, 2025, an ICE spokesperson released a statement, which said officers approached a vehicle, when the driver, identified as Tiago Alexandre Sousa-Martins, tried to flee, ramming his van into ICE vehicles and then driving directly at ICE officers. The ICE spokesperson said agents fired their weapons in self-defense, hitting the driver.
In that same statement, the ICE spokesperson said another individual, Solomon Antonio Serrano-Esquivel, “was in the passenger seat.” ICE said both individuals were injured and taken to a hospital where they were expected to recover…
